Drawn to the mind body modalities like Yoga and Pilates, Gail found an inner calm, strength and power on the mat that stayed with her off the mat. Now she dedicates her time and energy sharing this knowledge with clients and professionals within the active aging and post injury space. Gail believes this practice is a gift that keeps on giving on all levels — body, mind and spirit.

[ THE FOUNDER ]

JOSEPH PILATES

The Pilates Method was created by Joseph Pilates early 1900’s.  As a sickly child, Mr. Pilates learned to use exercise to get stronger. By 1912 his method was refined. By the 1960's  he was able to open his studio in New York, working with many dancers and those that were injured.

 

The Pilates Method of exercise is a system of exercises that can be done on mat or an apparatus (equipment) that promotes strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. It is low impact, progressive, and appropriate for EVERYONE! No matter the age or abilities... this method is for you. 

 

Today many physicians and therapists regard Pilates as a great means to bridge clients for post rehab and a way to exercise after an injury.

[ MY MENTOR ]

LOLITA SAN MIGUEL

The Pilates Master Mentor Program (PMMP) turned out to be a personal journey of grit, strength and breaking limiting beliefs I didn’t realize I was carrying.  Lolita is a talented dancer and meticulous mentor. She never missed a detail in my movement! She saw my talents and strengths before I realized them.

 

At the golden age of 80+ she still practices Pilates and teaches sometimes 7-8 hours a day during her mentoring program. She is passionate about the time spent with Joseph Pilates and is a strong advocate of his dream to see EVERYONE doing Pilates.

 

While I went in looking for more information on the work Lolita taught me much more about myself and how practicing the work molds me as an instructor. I’m the Master laser sharp Instructor I am today thanks to her.
