KEY PRINCIPLES
Week 1: Breathing, Flexibility, Stability
The first week of exercises will focus on the breath work and start to address stability and flexibility. They go hand in hand and once you have a good grasp of these concepts everything else will progress smoothly
Week 2: Flexibility, Mobility, Alignment
The exercises this week with build on last week exercises and start to incorporate some strength exercises. If these exercises are too much. Please repeat Week 1 exercises.
Week 3: Alignment, Strength, Endurance
Building on Week 2 exercises. Sometimes we start a new movement practice and focus on just the exercise and not what’s happening within. Where is your alignment? What sensory feedback are you getting from your body?
Week 4: Integration of Movement (Strength & Endurance)
Integrating all the above concepts. The Pilates Method is a system of exercise designed to flow and move with ease. Don’t force and enjoy the process. It’s a Process!
